 Zodiac bought Teledyne-Laars several years ago. They have created a super-efficient gas heater, with a novel bypass system to ensure correct water flow.   We are a factory-authorized service agent for Zodiac. 

 Some Common Faults We See (not manufacturing defects):

• Damage due to Incorrect Gas Pressure at installation
• VersaFlo valve can get stuck open or closed: This is generally due to debris entering the heater when it shouldn't. Gas heaters should only ever used pre-strained and/or filtered water.
• Fault High Limit: This generally occurs due to low water flow (eg dirty filter), or when the heater has not been allowed to cool down properly. Ensure heater is only used when filter is clean and ensure you allow the heater at least 5 minutes to cool down by leaving the pump running.
• To reset the Fault High Limit on a JXI or IXI heater: Hold 3 Buttons together and enter Menu. Go to "Clear Latched Fault" and clear the error. Reset power at powerpoint.

Combustion  Style: Fan-forced downward, column flame.

Header Manifolds: Noryl, multi-gasket

Heat Exchanger: Copper / Cupro-nickel 

Models: Natural Gas or LPG

Good heaters based on the Teledyne-Laars heaters. Last sold around 2014, parts are very limited as Zodiac/Jandy was taken over by Fluidra.
